I work in the CADD field (civil engineering) and this sort of thing gets me charged up. There is almost no part made of plastic or steel that could not be replicated with this technology. The "affordable" part of the process (the device he is discussing) is simply the the scanner. But that's reall the key to it all. Once you have the digital file you can then proceed to the more expensive part. That being the CNC millwork. It's still cool and will only get more affordable as time goes on. What a fantastic time to be restoring old bikes.. or anything for that matter. Check it out!
